What is Refakatçi?
Refakatçi is an Android app built for personal safety and daily structure. Its modules fall into three functions: safety, order and connection. The underlying idea is simple: rather than expecting you to do something, it notices when you haven't.
How do I install it?
The app is currently downloaded as an installation file from our own site. Tapping the download link on the product page and opening the file is enough. Android will ask for permission once for installs from outside the store; the installation guide walks through each step.
Is it free?
The free version covers the core modules and you can install and start using it right away. Upgrading to Pro unlocks all modules. Pro access is sold as time-based tokens — it isn't a subscription and doesn't renew by itself when the period ends.
Is it on Google Play?
Not yet. The process has started, but we aren't giving a date, because most of the remaining steps aren't in our hands. We've written up where things stand in a separate post. When the Play version arrives you won't need to uninstall: it will be published with the same signing key, so it installs as an update over your existing setup and your data is preserved.
Which devices does it work on?
The version currently released is for Android. An iOS version is not yet available.
How many modules are there?
There are 27 modules currently released. You don't have to use them all; modules can be switched on and off independently, so you can enable only the ones that are useful to you. Each module has its own page explaining what it does, along with its own FAQ.
Is Refakatçi a medical device?
No. Refakatçi does not diagnose, take measurements or provide any medical assessment. It is a safety and organisation assistant: in situations you define, it sends automatic notifications to the people you choose.
Where does my data go?
Notifications are sent only to the emergency contacts you define, through the channels you select. You decide who is added and which channels are used. There is also a way to delete your account and data, both from within the app and via the web.
Does it work without an internet connection?
The detection side of the modules largely works without internet. However, an internet or SMS connection is needed to send notifications; when there's no connection, notifications are delivered once connectivity returns.
