What is a token?

A token is a time-limited membership product that unlocks Pro access in Companion. It comes in 1, 3, 6 and 12-month options. When you buy one, you receive a license code in the format REF-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX; this code unlocks Pro access. The IMOK Coin you earn by using the app is something separate — it's a reward unit and has nothing to do with Pro access.

How do I get my token?

Choose the length you want on the Plans page and tap the token button; this takes you to us on WhatsApp. We confirm the payment together over WhatsApp, and then send you your license code, also over WhatsApp. There is no automatic payment, automatic code delivery or email delivery; every step is handled manually.

Where do I enter the license code?

Open Companion and tap the plan status bar on the home screen — the Plans screen opens. Type your code into the "Token code" field and tap "Activate". Once the code is approved, your Pro access starts immediately and lasts for the length of the code. Codes never use the easily confused characters I, O, 0 and 1, so you don't need to hesitate when typing it in.

If I get a new token, will my current Pro time be erased?

No. A new license is added on top of your current time, so you don't lose what you have left. For example, if you have 2 months left and activate a 3-month token, you get 5 months of Pro in total. Just enter the new code in the "Extend Time" field on the Plans screen.

What happens if I change phones?

A license code can be active on only one device at a time. On your old phone, use the "Turn off Pro on this device" option on the Plans screen: that device goes back to the Free plan and your code can be used again. You can then activate the same code on your new phone.

Why is a profile email address required?

Your license is linked to your profile email address, and your time is tracked through that address. That's why your profile email must be filled in when you activate the code. While the license is active, this address can't be changed; after choosing "Turn off Pro on this device", you go back to the Free plan and can change your email address again.
