Frequently Asked Questions
What is Voice Clock?
Voice Clock is the Companion module that reads the time aloud at the hours you choose, so you can know the time without looking at your phone screen.
What's the difference between Everyday and Formal mode?
Everyday mode reads the time in natural language (for example: "Three in the afternoon."). Formal mode reads it in a classic clock format (for example: "It is fifteen thirty.").
Can it announce the half hours?
Yes. It can announce only the full hours or the half hours too — it's up to you. You can turn on half-hour announcements in the settings.
Can I stop it from working at night?
Yes. By setting quiet hours, you can have Voice Clock go silent automatically during the times you choose. It won't interrupt your sleep or your focus.
Can it be turned on and off from the home screen?
Yes. You can turn it on or off with a single tap from both the Home Screen and the Orbital Menu. No need to dig through settings.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. It uses your phone's built-in TTS (Text-to-Speech) system and doesn't need an internet connection.
Does it use a lot of battery?
No. It's designed to run in the background with very low resource use. Battery consumption is minimal.
