Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between Smart Clipboard and the Android clipboard?

The Android clipboard only keeps the last item you copied and is cleared when the device restarts. Smart Clipboard automatically saves your last 31 copied items, keeps the history even after a restart and protects your sensitive data with an encrypted section.

How many items can I keep?

Smart Clipboard keeps 31 items in the normal section and 19 items in the encrypted section. This is designed to be enough for everyday use and covers the information you need most often.

How is the encrypted clipboard protected?

Encrypted clipboard content is encrypted with the Android Keystore system, the most secure protection at the operating-system level. On top of that, biometric verification such as a fingerprint, PIN, pattern or face recognition is required to view the entries.

How does the flip gesture work?

When you flip your phone 180 degrees, the Smart Clipboard panel opens instantly — no need to open the app or search menus. However, while a Check-in Time is waiting, the flip gesture doesn't open the clipboard; it works directly as a safety check.

What is the overlay panel and how do I use it?

The overlay panel is a layer that appears on top while any app is open (WhatsApp, Chrome, Maps, banking apps) and gives you access to your clipboard history. You can reach your clipboard history without switching apps or interrupting what you're doing.

How does it work together with Check-in Time?

If you flip your phone while a Check-in Time is waiting, Smart Clipboard doesn't open — the gesture counts directly as a safety check. The two modules share the same gesture but it's handled smartly, so they never clash.

Can I delete sensitive information by mistake?

No. Smart Clipboard offers a two-layer deletion system for encrypted entries: first identity verification (fingerprint/PIN), then a deletion confirmation. That way, important IBANs, passwords or card details aren't lost by accident.
