Frequently Asked Questions
What is Location Reminder?
Location Reminder is the place-based reminder module of the Companion app. It works automatically when you enter or leave a place you've chosen. It's a smart reminder system tied not to the clock, but to the places where your life happens.
How do I create a location?
Creating a location is very easy. You can create one within seconds by tapping the map, typing an address or picking from your saved places. It works with Google Maps, so you don't need to be a mapping expert.
Can I get a reminder when I get home?
Yes. One of Location Reminder's most powerful features is "Remind me when I arrive". The moment you get home, Companion tells you about your medication, the things you need to do or whatever reminder you created.
Can I get a reminder when I leave home?
Yes. With "Remind me when I leave", you can be reminded to check things as you leave home — did you lock the door, turn off the stove, take your keys?
Are reminders read aloud?
Yes. Location Reminder can read your reminders aloud (TTS — Text to Speech). You hear your reminder hands-free, without looking at the screen. It's very handy while driving or working in the kitchen.
Can I send notifications to my loved ones?
Yes. If you wish, you can send automatic Telegram or email notifications to the people you choose. For example, you can be informed when an elderly relative arrives home.
Can I reuse the same location?
Yes. You can use a location you created once for more than one reminder. A medication reminder when you get home, a door check when you leave — the same place, different triggers and messages.
