Frequently Asked Questions
Can I change the immobility time?
Yes. You can set the immobility threshold to match your own level of risk and lifestyle. You can choose 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours or 12 hours.
Will false alarms happen while I sleep at night?
No. With Night Mode you can define your sleeping hours. Immobility Detection is paused during those hours, so no false alarms happen while you sleep.
Does it work without a fall?
Yes. Immobility Detection is designed to detect health problems that happen without a fall. In cases like fainting, loss of consciousness, a heart attack or a stroke, it detects the lack of movement even if no fall occurs.
What happens if I don't respond?
If there's no answer within the time you set, the system starts a voice alert, sends an extra notification and makes a final check. If there's still no answer, the emergency chain is activated automatically.
Who gets notified?
When the emergency process starts, notifications are sent to the emergency contacts you've chosen via SMS, email and Telegram. The message includes the event details, the time of your last movement and your location.
Is my last location shared?
Yes. In an emergency, your last known location is sent to your loved ones automatically, so responders or your loved ones know exactly where you are.
Does it work together with Fall Detection?
Yes. Immobility Detection works together with Fall Detection and Check-in Time to form Companion's safety core. Fall Detection detects the fall, Immobility Detection confirms the lack of movement and Check-in Time provides regular checks.
