Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Floating Heart?
The Floating Heart is Companion's access button that appears on top of every app. It's accessible even when the phone is locked. You can move it wherever you like and customize how it looks.
How does silent SOS work?
When you press and hold the heart button for 3 seconds, an SOS call is sent silently. Your location and status are sent to the people you've chosen by email and Telegram. Nobody notices that you asked for help.
Can it be used when the phone is locked?
Yes. Thanks to Android overlay technology, the Emergency Help System is visible and accessible on the screen even when the phone is locked. No need to unlock it in an emergency.
Which modules can the Quick Menu open?
The Quick Access Menu gives you access to Companion's most-used screens: My Location Book, Smart Clipboard, Reminders and more. It opens when you press and hold for 500 ms.
How do I check in?
During a Check-in Time wait or alarm, a single tap on the heart button is all it takes. No need to open the app or navigate menus. Your check-in is done within seconds.
How do email and Telegram notifications work?
When an SOS is triggered, email and Telegram notifications are sent automatically to the emergency contacts you've chosen, together with your location, the date and the time.
Can I change where the button is?
Yes. You can drag the Floating Heart button anywhere on the screen and drop it there. You can also customize its transparency, size and edge snapping.
