Is Chime Now and Then an alarm?
No. Chime Now and Then isn't an alarm. Alarms announce emergencies and expect action from you. Chime Now and Then is a completely passive reassurance system; it doesn't expect you to do anything — it simply reminds you that the system is active.
Does it help me find my phone?
Yes. Thanks to periodic sound signals, you can easily tell which room your phone is in. Follow the sound to find a lost phone.
At what intervals can it chime?
Chime Now and Then offers fully customizable intervals between 30 seconds and 10 minutes. You can set short or long intervals depending on your needs.
Can I use my own system sound?
Yes. You can choose any of the notification sounds already on your phone. Soothing, neutral or attention-grabbing — use whichever sound feels right to you.
Does it keep working if the phone restarts?
Yes. Chime Now and Then remembers your settings and keeps working even after the device restarts. The reassurance continues without interruption.
Does it use a lot of battery?
No. Chime Now and Then only plays short, regular sound signals. It's a lightweight background service and its battery use is minimal.
Does it work with other Companion modules?
Yes. Chime Now and Then works with all Companion modules (Check-in Time, Reminders, Location Reminder, Special Days, Special Day Calendar, Smart Clipboard, My Location Book, To-do List, Sticky Notes, Reminder History).
